The Story
Indigenous people represent only 5 % of the global population but are sole guardians to over 80 % of the world’s biodiversity. Their ancestral wisdom and magical relationship with nature, preserves the ecosystem they live in. With this design we wanted to honor these 5 %, these small cinco, which protect our vast common good. More particularly we wanted to shed light to the Indians of some beautiful Amazon tribes (Kayapo, Terena, Caraja, Waiapi, Assurini...) that are increasingly threatened by deforestation and expropriation. The constellation forms and color effects added to the design brings a modern touch to the abstract faces drawn with a continuous line.
